How to get instrument_token for derivative contracts ?

I want to subscribe on certain futures and options contracts through websocket to get real time tick data. But how do I get the instrument token for it ? I did make a request to /instruments API but the response has only equity entries.

/instruments gives entire list of instruments
/instruments/:exchange gives list of instruments in the given exchange

I tries both the URLs but got only EQ types. I used exchange as NSE.

Hey Swaroop,

Checkout this URL - 'https://api.kite.trade/instruments/NFO'

You can change the 'NFO' as per your needs
