Can you please adjust NSE PEL history data for Aug 2022 ? There's a large gap in Kite indicating a corp action. Tradingview has the adjusted data correctly. Is there a process to review and fix such incorrect data gaps in the team? How frequently should we expect such errors? Any way to automatically identify missed adjustments and ignore the ticker on the client side?
This has already been adjusted with the demerger value. Unlike other corporate actions, demerger still may show the gap up/down, and you can ignore it.
@Sravanthi_bh thanks for checking. The close price is adjusted correctly without such a big gap down in trading view. This gap impacts backtests, can you please apply the adjustment to make it continuous like in tradingview?
@trd1 We adjust the charts for demergers based on the Cost of Acquisition (COA-based on exchange circular), while TradingView uses a different methodology(previous close and open price). This difference in approach is why you are noticing discrepancies in the data.
