Recurring kt-quotes API Failure Daily Between 09:15 AM – 10:00 AM IST

Dear Zerodha Support Team,

We are experiencing a recurring issue with the backend API where the kt-quotes service consistently fails every day between 09:15 AM and 10:00 AM IST.

During this time window, all quote-related API requests fail with the following error:

Request failed (kt-quotes).
'<' is an invalid start of a value. Path: $ | LineNumber: 0 | BytePositionInLine: 0.


It appears that instead of a valid JSON response, the API may be returning an HTML/error response, resulting in JSON parsing failures on our end.

This issue is affecting our application during market hours on a daily basis, and we request your urgent support to resolve this.

    I have been checking this issue for the last one week. During market hours in the morning, between 09:15 and 10:00 am, the API response doesn’t come, and a 504 gateway error appears. That’s why we get the error “Request failed (kt-quotes). ‘<’ is an invalid start of a value. Path: $ | LineNumber: 0 | BytePositionInLine: 0.”

    Yes .. I agree with Ashish ... This issue typically happens in the first half hour. And its happening quite regularly now. Please fix the root cause ASAP. Thanks. Its working fine now.

    I am also facing the same issue from few days, and today I got a lot of errors.
