Get latest OHLC candle for Nifty Dynamic Contract

How do I get the latest OHLC values for a Nifty Dynamic Contract? I know it can be done by Historical API for today and looking at the last candle and involves unnecessary data transfer of all ticks for today. Is there another API to do the same thing?

    To view the latest OHLC values, the Historical API endpoint is not recommended. The latest OHLC data can be fetched using the WebSocket API.

    Websocket seems to be an overkill if I just want to get contract OHLC at buy time and sell time. I don't want to constantly monitor or chart it.

    If you require the OHLC data of the most recent intraday candle, the WebSocket connection must be used, as there are no alternative methods available.
    If you require day-level OHLC data, the Quotes API can be used for this purpose.
