Both working of Kite server and development going at snails pace.
Hope you guys know why and how Nokia lost its business by not releasing dual SIM phones and not using Android. But it is doing it now after selling it's business and losing entire market share.
I do agree in-house development is the way for long term but execution speed also matters. Taking more than twelve months for launching new version is too much.
Also, curious as to what exactly you expect out of the new release in particular. What is the new version going to give you that the existing one isn't?

If you'd read the announcement from two weeks ago, you'd have known that a significant portion of Kite's internals have already been rewritten and replaced over the last 12 months (https://kite.trade/forum/discussion/1829/kite-connect-3-0-coming-soon#latest)
