generate_session(self, request_token, api_secret) - not working from today

generate_session(self, request_token, api_secret) API not working from today morning.

The error is kiteconnect.exceptions.TokenException: Token is invalid or has expired.
I confirmed that api_secret is correct and I have a doubt on request token.

After login, login url is https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?sess_id="32 characters" &api_key=my api key'
This sess_id is used as the request token.

Previously, I could see a request token but now it is session_id. My procedure is below.

kite = KiteConnect(api_key=aki_key)
kite.generate_session(sess_id, api_secret)

Please let me know how to fix it.

This is the login url https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?v=3&api_key=xxx. You will get a request token after you login in the url.

Below is the correct way to generate access token:

kite=KiteConnect(api_key=api_key)
data=kite.generate_session(request_token,api_secret=api_secret)
print(data['access_token'])

Thanks for your feedback. It is expected as as you mentioned, but on friday alone, i was not able to see "request_token" instead I get "https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?sess_id="32 characters" &api_key=my api key'".

It worked properly today again as i expected.
https://kite.trade/?action=login&type=login&status=success&request_token="32 characters".

Do you have any insight why it would have provided a different data on friday?
