Hi @shivdas_b We allow market orders for index options if the contract OI is greater than 500 lots. Your order will get rejected and won't be modified to LIMIT.
Also, your market order might get converted to LIMIT if there is no counterparty at the exchange. In this case, you should reconsider using market orders for such illiquid contracts (we do not allow market orders anyway for such contracts).
