place_order and quote API calls taking way longer than usual this week

Hi, it seems there may be some issues with the API recently.
My calls to the API for quote (quoting just one instrument) and place_order is taking way longer than usual this week. This process used to take <1s in the past, but now takes as long as 30s.

Can someone please help me figure out what is going wrong?

EDIT: I am facing this issue in a particular PC, and not in my other one -- no idea what could be the posible difference.
