Total Buy Quantity and Total Sell Quantity in Tick Data

Hi There,

In the Tick object there are 2 fields Total Buy Quantity and Total Sell Quantity - what do they represent ? Also do these and last traded quantity have any connection. I am trying to use these for Nifty 50 options - just to give a reference.
