I understand that a static IP will be mandatory for API-based order placement, effective October 1, 2025.
My current use of the Kite Connect API is solely for fetching historical and real-time market data, and does not involve order placement, modification, or cancellation.
Could you please confirm if API keys used exclusively for data consumption will be exempt from the static IP whitelisting requirement?
We are awaiting an update from the exchange, as discussions on this matter are still ongoing, and the deadline for the algo implementation is likely to be postponed. We will share any updates with you as soon as we receive further information.
Hi Salim_chisty, Good Evening, we are already in October , the deadline by SEBI was 1st October 2025 for Static IP implementation, are there any extension for the date,I am pretty worried, can you please update. Regards
@dannyroy The IP whitelisting setup is currently in progress. While collecting IP addresses is a straightforward step, the process also requires changes to the order flow, which will take additional time to implement and test. We are awaiting these updates from our vendor.
We will share further updates as soon as we receive more information from both the vendor and the exchange. Additionally, a detailed blog will be published on Z-Connect, and we will continue to keep this developer forum thread updated once we have greater clarity.
