Clarification needed on selling local desktop trading software using Kite Connect

ZionRulerAj
Hello Zerodha Team,

I need written clarification on whether the following product model is permitted for commercial sale to Zerodha clients, and whether any broker approval, exchange approval, or empanelment is required.

Product model:

* desktop software sold on licence basis to individual retail users
* runs only on the user’s own local machine
* no cloud hosting or remote operation by me
* I do not collect or store user Zerodha credentials or API secrets
* each user uses their own Zerodha account and own Kite Connect credentials
* software is positioned as a user-controlled execution and risk-management tool, not advisory, tips, research, or copy trading
* software can automatically place and manage orders based on user-configured logic and risk settings

Please clarify:

1. Is this model permitted for commercial sale to Zerodha users?
2. Would Zerodha classify this as a third-party algo platform / algo provider use case?
3. Is broker approval, exchange approval, or empanelment required before such software can be sold or used?
4. If approval is required, what is the exact process and which team should I contact?
5. If approval is not required, under which permitted usage category does this model fall?

I want to ensure the product is structured correctly before launch.
