I have a static IP address for my desktop kiteconnect id. What if I am out of town and install all the required software to run my API's in my Laptop. I would like to know what will be my static address in that case or will the current Static IP address work for trading on my Laptop wherever I move???
The static IP is associated with the network from which API orders are placed. If you switch to a different network (for example, using a laptop while travelling), the existing whitelisted IP will not apply, and order placement requests may be rejected.
In such cases, you may either use a fixed cloud-based/VPS setup to ensure a consistent IP, or update the whitelisted IP as required. However, as per exchange guidelines, IP modifications are restricted to one change per calendar week. To ensure continuity, configuring both primary and secondary IPs is recommended.
