I'm an individual client building my own program that trades only my own account through my own Kite Connect app. It runs from my own server with a registered static IP, well below 10 orders per second, across NSE/BSE equity and F&O and MCX. I'd be grateful for clarification on the following, so that I stay compliant with the SEBI retail-algo framework as Zerodha implements it:
Automation. The support article "What is algo trading" says retail traders must place orders manually and that full automation is not permitted. Does that apply to a client placing orders through their own Kite Connect app (at or below 10 OPS, registered static IP, generic algo ID)? If fully automatic placement is not allowed, what per-order confirmation is required? OPS counting. Is the 10 orders/second limit per client account, across all exchanges and segments? Do modifications, cancellations, GTT placements/triggers, basket orders, autoslice child orders and iceberg legs count toward it? Daily limits. Is the daily cap 5,000 orders (as in the API docs) or lower? When does the counter reset, and do rejected requests count? Market protection. What price band does market_protection = -1 apply in each segment (equity, F&O, MCX)? Are MARKET or SL-M orders with market protection accepted on MCX, given that commodity algos may not use MARKET orders? Is IOC validity available for API orders in NSE/BSE F&O? algo_id. What is the algo_id parameter added in pykiteconnect 5.2.1, and is it required for a self-developed algo below the threshold? Static IP. Does a static IP from a cloud server located in India count as the client's own static IP? May the secondary IP belong to a standby server used only for disaster recovery? One API key. Zerodha has said only one API key per user may run an unregistered algo. If I also use the hosted Kite MCP read-only in an AI assistant, does that count as a second key? Order updates. On the paid Connect plan, does the WebSocket deliver order updates for every order on the account, including orders placed manually in Kite web/app? Modification surveillance. How does Zerodha apply NSE's excessive-order-modification measures (NSE/SURV/74008) to API accounts, and what counts as one "instance"? Personal to Connect. Can an existing Personal app be moved to the Connect plan, or must a new app (with a new API key) be created? Does the registered static IP apply to every app under the developer account? GTT sells of holdings. If a GTT sell trigger fires on CNC holdings on a day I have not logged in, does the sell order execute when DDPI is not active, or does it need that day's e-DIS/TPIN authorisation? How long does a GTT stay valid, and is there a limit on how many times it can be modified? Thank you.

Could you confirm that GTT create/modify/delete calls are exempt, and whether order modification and cancellation are IP-checked? API secret rotation. Can the API secret of an existing app be regenerated in the developer console, and does regenerating it invalidate access tokens already issued that day? Order varieties. Are AMO, cover order and auction orders placed through the API accepted for a self-developed algo below 10 orders per second? Market data. Clause 4(b) of the Kite Connect terms restricts building databases or permanent copies of the content. For a single account holder, is it permitted to store historical and live data locally, for personal backtesting and analysis only, with no display or sharing?
