"Trade Symbol is Null or Invalid" ERROR

I am getting this error today:
"Trade Symbol is Null or Invalid"

This error is occurring while subscribing to Cash Segment.
It was working perfectly till yesterday, I am getting this error today only.

NIFTY and BNF futures subscription is successful.

me too getting same this issue, I am able to subscribe quotes only ADANIPORTS equity and for all other remaining symbols getting Trade Symbol is Null or Invalid. Kindly look into the issue ASAP

This error happens when the symbol list is not downloaded or partially downloaded due to network issues. KiteXL will download the symbols list only once in a day on first login from kite server and saves the symbol list in text files and uses locally saved list for subsequent login.

You need to delete saved files to force KiteXL to re-download symbol list from kite server.

Try this
* Close KiteXL
* Delete all symbol list files from "My Documents" (Look for SymbolList_NSE.txt etc)
* Open KiteXL and login
* KiteXL will download fresh symbol list from Kite Server.

That is the problem. The symbol file is truncated. only 2 KB in size.

However, deleting is not doing the trick.
It again downloads the same 2 KB truncated file.

Problem persists

Its working for me after deleting SymbolList_NSE.txt from my documents

Its Still downlading the same truncated 2KB file after deleting.

@chotabheem oh then some how it worked for me. I did shift+del but dont think it causes the difference

Its OK now.
Symbols getting subscribed.
(and correct file being downloaded)
