Hi Team,

I was trying to buy and sell certain stocks today with intraday MIS, but received the above mentioned error. Can you please help me decode the msg?

What is RMS? Is it Zerodha's or NSE?
Why is it preventing the shorting and buying of stocks on MIS?
Is their a list of stocks you can't trade MIS ?
Does it change everyday or is it a static list?

Can you please elucidate, any other information on RMS will be very valuable?

RMS = Risk Management System. It's Zerodha's. It may incorporate Zerodha's own risk rules and/or exchange's rules.

@hanan Could you please shed some light on this?

What this message means is this:
Our RMS department has blocked all MIS orders for this particular scrip on NSE capital markets (EQ). This means that you can place only CNC orders on that scrip. This is usually done because of lack of liquidity on the particular scrip or low price bands. If by chance you bought/sold something using MIS and the stock hit circuit up. It means that you're stuck with the position and there's a possible auction settlement to deal with.

There's a list of stocks on which you can trade MIS at https://zerodha.com/margin-calculator/Equity/
You can assume that if a stock isn't there on that list, we allow only CNC.

This list can change everyday so you need to keep an eye on that page.
