I just downloaded all the instruments in BSE and looks like there are 17837 instruments in BSE alone. How do i find the stocks that are tradable. Since I am a amateur in this field I am not sure if all the stocks are tradable, because some have names like Axis mutual fund, Reliance mutual fund. Heard there are only 5k -6k stocks in BSE. I am not sure how 17k instruments came in the list. Out of 17837, more than 10k instrument just gave empty historic data when hit with Candles API. what do names like this "IIFCL-SRIX-8.55%-202" mean ? does it also includes futures and options also? if so how do i get rid of them and filter only stocks for doing intraday ? Please shed some light.
