Do actual trades happen during the preopen session or only the a equilibrium open price is determined from the orders placed during the preopen session? During the Pre-open session what is the 'OHLC ' values that are broadcast-ed is it the days OHLC or yesterdays? also is the LTP value of the preopen session updated every second?

Not until 9.07 to 9.08, till then equilibrium price will be arrived using quotes.

Open will be equilibrium, HLC till 9.07 will be yesterday's. After single trade OHL will be same and close will be yesterday's.
