Accessing historical data for nifty index 1 minute candle data since starting time.

Hi i am having trouble accessing the nifty50 1 minute data using historical

kite.historical_data('256265',from_date='2015-01-08',to_date='2015-01-08',interval='minute')

Going backwards beyond this date 205-01-09.I am not getting any data beyond this data.
why i am i not able to access the data.

    We have minute data for Nifty 50 index from 2015-01-09. You can get day candle before that.

    Can you cross check out as of now I am unable to access it beyond that date . I am getting empty data. I am using instrument token number is 256265. Also volume for all the minute olhc is zero. Does zerodha does not provide volume information.

    Historical data is coming fine since 2015-01-09.

    Also volume for all the minute olhc is zero. Does zerodha does not provide volume information.
    Token 256265 is of Nifty 50 (Indices) . Indices doesn't have volume, you can't trade indices.
