I had placed buy order for BANK NIFTY weekly[6th May] option call and put both having strike price of 32600. When i tried exiting through API, my sell order was rejected and it said Insufficient funds. Why do i need fund to exit Normal buy orders.
The reason for the margin requirement is it's considering SELL as a short sell order rather than an exit order. We can also see here that, you are trying to place an exit order within the next 2 seconds of the buy order. Can you verify from order_history of the required buy order that, it was COMPLETED before sell order placement?
