Then why you didn't mention that your query is for order placing initially?
Do you understand anything at once?
None of the KiteConnect APIs are exclusive to any segment.
All the APIs like market quotes, websocket, historical data,place order, work for all the segments(cash, derivatives,commodity,currency).

Just remember,NFO is the exchange for equity derivatives.

I have seen this earlier, these seems for normal stocks but did to transact in futures and options contracts and lots I dont see any examples
