I am unable to download the Historical Data from Kite API

FindingAlphaa
Hi,

I have developed a couple of Intraday Strategies and I want to backtest these strategies against Historical Data and for that only reason I've subscribed to Kite API (@2000/month)

I could succesfully download the historic data (from 2016 onwards) for Nifty 100 stocks day before yesterday and after that I'm attempting to download for the next 100 and so far but it is showing the following message - WARNING - ThreadPoolExecutor-0_0 - API limit hit. Waiting 10s (Attempt 1). I've attached the screenshot of the Pycharm to this thread. It's been 2 days & i am unable to move forther. Where's the glitch

The issue is clearly visible in your logs. "API limit exceeded"
Kite Connect API has a rate limit for various calls. Check this thread and modify your code: Rate Limits

I've downloaded 100 a couple of days back. By when can i download the next 100. Also i didn't understand rate limits. Is it 3 requests/second for Historical API then i should be able to download the data now as it's been more than 2 days since the 1st attempt

I knew i wont get any reply. Call the Zerodha Call Centre and they ask you to put your query here and the answers here are so generic. That's the problem with 'Indian' Apps & developers. I've already paid and now it's my responsibility to figure out. No one gives a shit once we pay. Sad. Anways, I'm out of this API thing from next month. Utterly disappointed
