Hello, I see that historical data that I had downloaded for Infy and some other stocks changes and not just during stock splits. Do you adjust it when dividends are paid or for some other corporate action? Is there a way to track this on our end? Thanks
We do adjust historical data for corporate actions to improve analysis. Historical data is adjusted for corporate actions, including bonuses, splits, rights issues, spin-offs, and extraordinary dividends(i.e more than 2%) to ensure consistency in price for analysis.
These adjustments are applied during the beginning-of-day process on the ex-date (before market open) and are reflected in the historical data from that point onward.
