I would like to know is there any advantage in paying for Kite api vs using their browser api for market feed and historical data.

Both Kite web and Kite Connect API use the same underlying data source. The choice between them depends on your use case and requirements.
For programmatic access to live market data and historical candle data, you can use the official Kite Connect APIs.
