Prolonged delay in getting FnO data

sameer
Hi,
I have been requesting FnO data for last 3-4 months. Its been 1 month since Nikhil said "very close to a breakthrough".

I pay Rs.2000 per month for Historical data and your description says "Histrorical API is meant for backtest". How can I backtest if I dont have data for expired contracts. Although NSE re-uses token, NSE itself provides historical daywise data for expired contracts.

I am unnecessarily blocked because of design issues on your side for last 4 months. When I requested you to provide minute FnO for NF and BNF for last1 year(over file sharing platform) till u fix Token resuse problem, you are not event ready to provide that also.

Dont understand ur charging 2000 per month for Historical API, but ur neither fixing issue nor ready to share some part of data over file sharing platform. For 3-4 months, I have been hearing only one thing that "its on your list"

    Hey Sameer, other things on the list took priority - around scalability/stability. We are about to launch Kite 3.0 and the entire team is held up with that. I am guessing it will take longer to provide this, maybe best to unsubscribe if it doesn't meet your requirement. We will announce it here as soon as we have it up.

    Best,

    @nithin
    Please don't reply without properly reading my above post,
    Whats point in saying entire team is busy with other features.

    I just asked to share FnO data on dropbox/google drive for two instruments Nifty/Bank Nifty till Kite team gets time to fix original issue. I just suggested easier alternative.

    Now how much time it takes to post FnO data in raw CSV format on dropbox or how much space it takes for just NF/BNF FnO data for one year ?

    @Sameer, what makes you feel I didn't read your post? We are not allowed to give you a dump of data on dropbox/google drive, there are regulations around it. If there is an easy way to do this, it would have been done by now. There is effort involved from our end and we don't have the bandwidth for it right now.

    Ok thanks @nithin for clarification ...hope you understand historical data is most basic element for backtesting ... will wait for it
