Backtesting API and data

I saw there is separate pricing for backtesting, but I can not see any documentation for backtesting.

1. How Backtesting will work?
2. Does my code will be run on kites server for backtesting or I'll get the data for running it on my machine ?
3. If I create a new app and pay 2000 will backtesting will be enabled on it?

    Backtesting API only lets you fetch historical data only. You'll have to do testing and analysis on your own.

    thanks vivek sir for answer, i want to know that we can back test like amibroker . like backtest report ,winning ratio, all trades, sharp ratio, etc

    Hey srikant,
    I Zerodha currently only provides data for backtesting. reports and wining ratio and other reports we have to calculate our own.
