Hello friends, Could you please advise if kite connect supports a functionality to create a strategy based on some indicator values? say I want to buy a stock if it crosses a value of 50 for RSI ?
Are you asking whether there are APIs which will allow you to create strategy based on RSI? like for example the API gives you value of RSI for a stock and if the value goes above 50 you trigger the buy API. OR you are asking for any API which will accept the RSI value from user above/below which a particular stock (also entered by user) gets bought/sold.
In both the cases, i don't think so there is any functionality support. These APIs just give you whatever data you require to do your trading. Strategy development is not the scope of Kite Connect APIs. But i am not a moderator/authoritative person of Zerodha, so wait for there comments.
But if you want to kind of code your strategy, you can use strategy creator (i don't know the exact word for that) in Zerodha Pi. It will allow you to create strategy for any particular stock, like described in your question.
Hi @sandeepm, Kite Connect is purely an execution platform. We don't provide support for writing any kind of strategy. You need to do all the calculations at your end and place order using Kite Connect.
