When is KiteTicker resubcribe needed?

The KiteTicker API has a resubscription method which subscribes to all tokens again.

My question is when should this method be used?
Does Kite periodically unsubscribes the instruments subscribed? If yes,, when this happens? What is the purpose of this API?

Resubscribe happens if the previous connection was disconnected. If you have not disabled autoreconnect, pykiteconnect does it for you. https://github.com/zerodhatech/pykiteconnect/blob/master/kiteconnect/ticker.py#L683

@SRIJAN Does that mean that if kite disconnects and if a reconnection happens automatically(default behavior) then I have to resubscribe again to the tokens?

No ,as I said,the library does it for you. You don't need to resubscribe .

Yes, for reconnections, resubscribe is auto-called. Go through the reconnect part of code here.
