In What cases parent_order_id is attached for an order?

I am needing following info to construct an algo. Please help me with that.
In what cases/order-types parent_order_id will get attached to order?

I am curious about the flow of an iceberg orders

For iceberg and cover orders, parent order id will be present.

Can I rely on metadata provided in iceberg order to know which leg is currently being executed ?

or this can be changed by zerodha?

You will have to check parent_order_id field to decide if it is a child order or first order.
