If I want to catch the upper limit and lower limit error in python and then adjust my sl, how to?

Hi,

Essentially my bot sometimes tries to place an order and the calculated SL is beyond the upper limit because of which it fails to place the order. How can I catch this error on my end specifically and adjust it accordingly?
