Position/Product conversion

As per this positions via NestTrader can be converted via the Trade book (press F8) or the Admin Position window (press F11).

The former changes the product type for both the trade and the position. while the later changes the product type of the position only, the trade still displays the old product type (further product change is not allowed via f8). Is this by design or a bug?

The Kite API seems to follow the later only. Can you please confirm.
  1. Does the kite api has any calls to change the product type via the first method.
  2. Is partial conversion allowed?
  3. What are the best practice suggested by the kite team?

    Kite Connect API supports position conversion using this API only.
    2. Is partial conversion allowed?
    Partial conversion is not allowed.
    3.What are the best practice suggested by the kite team?
    I would suggest you to use the above mentioned API for position conversion.

    Apologies joy, partial conversion is allowed on Kite but only on position not based on trade.
