Usage of public_token

There is no documentation on using the public_token, except the definition "A token for public session validation where requests may be exposed to the public".

The people who are moderating please assist with the usage method of public_token.

It was used for Websocket API authentication but now it is not relevant anymore for end users. You can use access_token.
