Query regarding Open Interest

Hi, I may sound silly but I just want to confirm:

Is the Open Interest received from kite connect is given in "Number of Lots" or "Quantity"?

Asking because eg if I have to place a sell order for FINNIFTY option, there is a restriction for MIS orders that the open interest should be minimum 500 lots, ie. 20000 quantity.

So, in order to validate that condition, which is correct: [OI from kite connect] > 500 or [OI from kite connect] > 20000

Kite ticker gives you OI values in unit quantity and not lot size.

Yes, OI value will be 20000 in the above case.
