not getting request_token

when I hit with "https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?api_key=xyz" this url on browser it will give "https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/finish?api_key=xyz&sess_id=abc" , I need request_token in query params, but it will give sess_id, what I will do, please suggest.

This is a wrong redirect. Are you sure you authorized the app in the initial login flow?
Successful login will return:
https://your_redirect_url?action=login&type=login&status=success&request_token=xxxxxxxx
