Yes, order modification and cancellation API calls are counted toward the same order rate limits of 10 requests/second and 200 requests/minute, just like fresh order placements. While they do not count toward the daily cap of 3,000 placed orders, they are still subject to per-second and per-minute throttling. If you exceed these limits, you will encounter a 429 “Too Many Requests” error, which triggers a temporary cooldown of approximately 10 seconds. During this cooldown, further requests may continue to fail. Please note that this cooldown is specific to rate-limit violations and does not apply to other 4xx errors.
