Months back ,NSE issued circular about tick size revision. As per it ,stocks less than 1k has tick size of 0.05. But if you go buy HDFCBANK now which is less than 1000,it says tick must be in multiple of 0.1. Is tick size fixed sometimes beginning in the month and unchanged for the rest of the month? Not able to understand.
The tick size will be reviewed by the exchange every month, with the closing price on the last trading day of the month being used to determine the tick size, which will apply for the next month. Check the tradingqna post for more details.
