If I want to go long one day on nifty futures, say 10 lots then next day, I want to go short 20 lots then the next day, I want to sell the 10 lots I bought on first day and the last day cover the 20 lots i bought on second day
how do I keep these orders (long / short) separate? as far i can see sell means both sell and short - Is there a way to achieve this without both orders interfering with each other?
there is a tag option while placing orders, but not sure if that can be used here for accomplishing this?
Hi @trailblazer, If you have a carry forwarded long position and you place sell order with the same product(NRML) then it will square off long position and then it will short for next 10 quantity. If you place it as MIS then the system will consider it as a new short position of quantity 20.
