backtesting with kite connect api

I saw there is separate pricing for backtesting, but I can not see any documentation for backtesting.

1. How Backtesting will work?
2. Does my code will be run on kites server for backtesting or I'll get the data for running it on my machine ?
3. If I create a new app and pay 2000 will backtesting will be enabled on it?

    Hi @srikanth -- I am afraid the backtesting API only lets you fetch historical data. You'll have to do testing and analysis on your own.

    thanks kailash sir . i want api that should like amibroker with advance back testing like winning ratio sharp ratio, all trades, loss ratio, annual returns and etc. is it possible sir.

    @Kailash - do I need to pay for the historical data along with the cost for the API?

    Yes, historical API is an add-on subscription. You can subscribe for it on the developers console app details page.
