Hi, Today morning i placed buy order 640 quantity for 'KSCL' but it got rejected because of margin exceeds.
But when i check the margin calculator by Zerodha, it was saying that it requires 14,000. With these parameters Quantity=640 Price=479 StopLoss=476.4 Mode=Buy
Hi, The margin calculator doesn't show live margins, it is just an indication of the approximate margins required live/real-time margins aren't shown by the margin calculator. It is advisable especially when placing BO/CO to have a little more margins in your account to accommodate for excess margin requirements due to price fluctuations.
