Can multiple users use one Kite Connect app?

Hi,
Lets say userA has paid 2000 rupees and created Kite Connect application. He can access it by his link https://kite.trade/connect/login?v=3&api_key=XXYYZZ to generate access_token.

Now lets say userB tries to access userA's link i.e. https://kite.trade/connect/login?v=3&api_key=XXYYZZ, he gets a message as below:


If userB clicks Authorize, then
1. Is it going to deduct rupees 2000 from userB's account?
2. Can he place orders just like userA through API?

From what I have understood, other user's(user B in this case) are not allowed to trade/use APIs like the original user (user A in this case).

If you need to make your service/tool/product available for other user's then Zerodha Team can help you out in getting it audited from SEBI. Remember as per laws, fully automated trading is not allowed, and you need to get some form of User interaction for confirming/taking the actions via API.

But we can place orders automatically, thats as per API design.

All Kite Connect apps are bound to one client id. You can't use it with another account.
