pykiteconnect for KiteConnect3.0 is still prerelease?

am i correct in understanding that to upgrade my pykiteconnect to KiteConnect3.0 i need to install something still marked as prerelease?

from the documentation to upgrade i need to run

pip install kiteconnect --upgrade --pre

i have done a normal

pip install kiteconnect --upgrade

am i still on the old version?

Yes, it is pre-release. We will release it after 20th May deadline.
