Getting error "Insufficient permission for that call" while trying to access historical data

I am trying to access the historical data. I have created an app by purchasing 2000 credits/month but I am not sure why I am getting this error.

Can any one suggest me what else I have to do here?

Have you also purchased the Kite Connect API subscription for another 2000? Historical API is an add-on subscription on top of Kite Connect.

All I am seeing there are two options when trying to create an app. It doesn't specify anywhere whether it is for historical data or anything else. Should I just buy another 2000 credits/month on top of what I bought already?

Don't create another subscription.
You need to edit your existing subscription and enable Historical data.

Thank you, Purchased the addon and able to pull the historical data.
But one more question is where can I get the instrument token codes for the stocks I would like to get the historical data? Can you please help me with this?

goto the url "api.kite.trade/instruments" you will get a csv for all tokens
