As an alternative to GetRTD function can we just retrieve data from tick log file for all subscribed symbols? How efficient this method could be?
If yes, how to do just that?

RTD is the most efficient method to get real-time data in excel cell.
Reading text file and parsing the data will result in decreased performance.
