pip install failing with Python3.6

pip install kiteconnect is failing.

python version: Python 3.6.7
os: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

error message:

File "/root/robotic_trade_app/.py36env/lib/python3.6/site-packages/pip/_internal/wheel.py", line 898, in _build_one_legacy
return os.path.join(tempd, sorted(os.listdir(tempd))[0])
IndexError: list index out of range

Please note compete log is attached.

Issue seems to be with pip package,you can try upgrading to latest pip version and then install kiteconnect.
