Getting prices for option writing

Hi,
How can I get the prices for PE/CE options writing (i.e. selling options) through kite API?
This is for CNC, not MIS.

You can use get quotes or websockets to do the same. You will need an instrument token to do this which can be found in the instrument dump.

Hi @sujith websockets gives me the LONG price, but not the SHORT (options writing) price for nifty. For options, these two are different.

@sujith pls comment on getting the margins for option writing. Looks like this is a major missing piece. Calculating through Black Scholes method is not matching up.

@ramatius,
Currently, you wouldn't be able to pull option shorting margins using the APIs. You can manually check the Zerodha margin calculator page.
However, we plan on introducing this for APIs too.
