Getting the message Take the Red pill with kite connect V2 while trying to retrieve historical data

Hi,

I am trying to retrieve the historical data by sending the following http request for BPCL,

https://api.kite.trade/instruments/historical/134657/5minute?from=2015-12-28&to=2016-01-01&api_key=xxx&access_token=yyy". However I am getting the Status as success and data as Take the Red pill with kite connect V2. Can you help to get the data properly.

@rsekar Works for me. You may be getting redirected to the root (api.kite.trade) at your end for some reason.

I have set the redirect url to the local host. Everything else works except this API, any ideas ?

Hm, not sure what's happening. Both the URLs you posted work fine.

Let me try again after resetting the session.

No use even with the new session it returns the same message, any help. I heard in one of the presentations that to get historical data I have to enable some settings. Does anyone know what setting that is ? Can someone help, I am really stuck here.

Can anyone tell me what does the error "Take the Red pill with kite connect V2" mean so I can cross check what went wrong.

@rsekar It's not an error. It's just the welcome message the root endpoint of the API gives -- https://api.kite.trade

It just means that for some reason, your request is being redirected to the root endpoint.

@rsekar Its just a message you get here - https://api.kite.trade/ v2 represents the api version. But this shouldn't come as error message. Can you please paste your request and response log here?

I deleted and recompiled my code and now it started working. Thanks everyone.
