Historical Data - Continuous=True gives 504 Gateway Time-out error

I'm invoking historical api using Continuous=True to retrieve 200 60min candles for a futures contract. In response, I get the below error -

kiteconnect.exceptions.DataException: Unknown Content-Type (text/html) with response: (b"

504 Gateway Time-out

\nThe server didn't respond in time.\n\n")

The moment I remove the Continuous flag, the api returns data. What is the issue here?

Continuous data is available only for day candle.You need to send interval as day not any intraday interval.
