Hi there,
I wanted to know if there is a way to get the purchase date of a holding?

Kite Connect currently offers only trading terminal APIs, it doesn't have backoffice APIs. This feature is currently not available.

But it does have a `getHoldings()` method as well as API that gives a whole lot of other information, why just not date?

Kite Connect APIs serves whatever is needed for a trading terminal. The holdings purchase date comes under the reporting feature which is backoffice for us. The backoffice features are not available as of now.
