Invalid API key or access token

I have a kite subscription and a valid app. However, when I use the below statement, it throws an error that my token or key is invalid.

kite.historical_data("7436801", "2020-09-21", "2020-09-22", 'minute', continuous=False, oi=True)

Also, other endpoints work as expected.
