I have two suggestions:
1.) BO order: I understand BO orders can cause problem If volatility is high. But it also has some advantages that users like me want. Is it possible to bring it back, without giving extra margin or even reducing margin. There can be an option in the setting to enable it, by default it will be disabled. Before users enable it, a pop-up will clearly inform them about the risk, it will be "use at your own risk only". Broker probably wont be at risk, If margin is reduced. This can also be an "API only" feature, since only advanced users use API, and they know the risks.
2.) Allow high volatile stock in MIS with reduced margin: If you allow us to short 100rs worth of stock by paying around 100rs, the broker probably won't be at risk, right? So can you please unblock high volatile stocks from MIS and instead, give less margin.
