Historical data not working at all. Gateway time out error!

Historical API is not working at all, unable to load any significant data. Getting this error in python

    This problem is quite frequent today. I have to login multiple times.

    File "/usr/local/lib/python3.5/dist-packages/kiteconnect/__init__.py", line 636, in _request
    raise ex.ClientNetworkException("Gateway timed out", code=504)
    kiteconnect.exceptions.ClientNetworkException: Gateway timed out
